Antique Edwardian Vesta Case in Silver
Here is a lovely little Antique Vesta Case made by Charles Lyster and Son in 1905. This little case has a hinged lid and would have been used to carry matches. The surface is beautifully etched with a scrolling leaf pattern. The bottom of the vesta has a ribbed striker panel for igniting the matches. There is a small loop so you could add this to a chain if desired. The case is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1905. This piece is over 100 years old and has some light age related wear however it works nicely and will make a great addition to any vintage/antique jewelry collection.
