This exquisitely crafted Edwardian mechanical Masonic orb pendant features a 9-carat gold frame outer layer and a gilded silver interior. The orb opens by carefully unclasping 4 arms, each ending in trefoil shaped terminals. The orb opens to reveal six tiny interlocking pyramids in the form of a cross, each face is beautifully hand-engraved with Masonic symbols. The spherical shape of the orb represents the universe, while the cross inside symbolizes the four cardinal points. This charming symbolic pendant would have been worn on a watch chain in the early 1900s. This piece would make a fantastic addition to any masonic Jewelry collection.

This piece is in very nice pre owned condition. It is over 100 years old and does have some light age related wear. The arms are somewhat delicate and should be opened and closed with care.
