Antique Sterling Monogram M Compact box Chatelaine Trinket box
This cool early 1900s chatelaine compact box features striking stripes of rose, yellow, and silver on a sterling silver base. The domed lid bears an ornate hand-engraved monogram “M,” surrounded by fine engine-turned texture that catches the light beautifully. Attached to its original sterling ring and chain, this piece would have once hung from a chatelaine or belt—an elegant and functional accessory from a bygone era. The chain can easily be removed with a small clasp. This lovely little piece of history does have some age related wear- a sign of the times! Ready to collect!
