Here is a lovely antique Victorian amethyst paste (Glass) brooch. This piece is likely from the Late Victorian and features a sparkling amethyst paste stone measuring approximately 20x15 mm at its heart. The brooch has a gold tone base metal setting with a 10K gold back plate and a C-clasp closure that was added at a later date by someone who wanted to preserve this piece. This would look lovely worn on a blouse or hat. The tension on the pin is slightly loose, but can be worn with care. This stunning little piece of history is ready to add to your vintage jewelry collection!

CONDITION
This antique Victorian amethyst paste brooch is in good antique condition, however it is over 100 years old and does have some age-related wear. There is a small abrasion to the paste on the back of the gem. As mentioned the closure and back plate is a repair/replacement.
