Victorian Citrine Brooch in Silver

Victorian Citrine Brooch in Silver

Here is a lovely Antique Victorian Brooch featuring a trio of honey-colored citrine gems. These oval-cut citrines have beautiful facets, highlighting their candy-like appearance. The stones are set in silver with open back settings, allowing the light to shine through the stone. This brooch is 100 years old and does have some light age-related wear- including a scratch on the back of the largest gem, as shown in the photo. The original C-style clasp works beautifully and is secure to wear. This lovely antique brooch is ready to wear, collect, or gift.

23mm (0.9in) tall x 35mm (1.4in) wide

Citrine and Silver, unmarked, 9.7g

Victorian, Late 1800s

This brooch is in nice antique-preowned condition. As mentioned, there is a scratch on the back of the center stone. The settings are a little un-level from age, but the stones are secure in their prong settings. Overall, it is a beautiful antique Victorian Brooch!

The Condition Report

An item must be 100 years old or older to be considered antique. This means many antiques may have age-related wear. We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
