Victorian Pallet Bar Brooch

Victorian Pallet Bar Brooch

Here is a wonderful, whimsical antique late Victorian / Edwardian bar brooch featuring the most darling little painter's pallet. The pallet is etched with an aesthetic period design featuring tiny leaves and three paste gemstones in red, white, and blue. The pallet sits on a long bar. The Victorians loved novelty jewelry, and this is an excellent example of a novelty jewelry piece. The Brooch has an antique style C claps that functions nicely. The face of the pallet has lovely decorative etchings in the aesthetic period style. This Brooch is a fantastic antique conversation starter that is ready to wear or collect.

The Condition Report

An item must be 100 years old or older to be considered antique. This means many antiques may have age-related wear. We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
