Victorian Silver Fancy Link Acorn Chain Necklace
Here is a very wonderful antique Victorian fancy link chain with figural acorn links. These chains are highly sought after and despite being over 100 years old, this piece is totally wearable and in beautiful condition. The acorns are so sweet with cross hatched caps and small balls between them. The backside of the acorns are flat, and the fronts are cute and plump. The necklace opens and closes securely with a jump ring. These fancy link chains were popular in the mid-late 1800s and were often worn with a large silver locket. The acorn was a popular symbol for Victorian era jewelry. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote "The Creation of a Thousand Forests is in One Acorn."
