Antique 14K Gold Mourning Ring with Seed Pearls & Black Enamel

Antique 14K Gold Mourning Ring with Seed Pearls & Black Enamel

Here is a fantastic and rare antique early Victorian/Late Georgian mourning ring from the early 1800's. The face of the ring features a delicate pearl forget me not flower set masterfully set atop a 14K solid yellow Gold Band. The pearls are bright and lovely, especially for being over 100 years old. The center of the pearl holds a darling antique rose-cut diamond. The shoulders are highlighted with deep black enamel detailing in the form of decorative scrolls. The reverse of the ring holds a tiny glazed locket compartment with a circular beveled glass window containing two tones of hair, carefully intertwined. This beautiful and sentimental antique mourning Ring would make an excellent addition to any antique jewelry collection.

The Condition Report

An item must be 100 years old or older to be considered antique. This means many antiques may have age-related wear. We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
