A striking antique bracelet featuring six finely carved shell cameos in a soft orange with milky white pictorials. Each cameo is individually framed in silver with gold rope-twist detailing around the bezels, giving the piece a luxurious, yet subtle two-tone look. The bracelet closes securely with a tongue clasp stamped 925 and is secure with safety chain. The carving quality is crisp and detailed, with charming mythological and allegorical scenes. “Days of the Week” cameo bracelets became popular as souvenir jewelry during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. Each link traditionally depicted a classical god or goddess representing one day of the week (e.g. Diana for Monday, Mars for Tuesday, Mercury for Wednesday). These were often carved in coral or shell and set in silver or gold-mounted frames, appealing to Grand Tour travelers seeking classical imagery and wearable mementos of Italy.
