A charming and elegant antique ladies’ propelling pencil, crafted in gold-filled metal with luminous mother-of-pearl panels. This Victorian or Edwardian-era writing accessory features finely chased scrollwork details at the cap and base, with a rotating mechanism that extends the pencil tip. A built-in bail allows it to be worn as a pendant or fob—perfect for a chatelaine or long chain. This piece is a novelty pendant, over 100 years old and does need to be open/closed with care. A lovely little piece of history than can be worn as a pendant.

CONDITION
Nice antique condition with age related wear. Mechanism is tight/slow to extend due to age but works nicely. Beautifully preserved surface with elegant glow to the mother-of-pearl. Light wear to gold plate as seen in photos. A wonderful collector’s piece or unique accessory for lovers of antique writing instruments.

We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
