Here is a lovely little Antique Vesta Case made by Joseph Gloster in 1905. This little case has a hinged lid and would have been used to carry matches. The surface is beautifully etched with a scrolling leaf pattern and flowers. The bottom of the vesta has a ribbed striker panel for igniting the matches. There is a small loop so you could add this to a chain if desired. The case is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1905. This piece is over 100 years old and has some light age related wear however it works nicely and will make a great addition to any vintage/antique jewelry collection.

This piece is in nice antique condition. Age related surface wear and patina. Hinge works nicely! there is a slight ripple in the seam of the metal under the loop, as seen in photo. A fun older piece!
