This large antique cameo features a serene right‑facing lady with flowers in her hair and a sweet  bird perched on her shoulder. Her draped gown is accented with carved blossoms, adding soft movement and texture to the design. Carved from warm peachy-orange and cream shell, the portrait is bezel‑set in a 14K yellow gold frame with elegant twisted rope details. The artist took advantage of the natural coloring of the shell which is evidenced by a soft peachy tone in the flowers and hair. A hinged bale allows it to be worn as a pendant, while a secure pin lets it be styled as a brooch. A striking heirloom quality jewel that will make a great addition to any vintage jewelry collection. The presence of the bird on her shoulder makes this piece unique.
