A bold and unusual treasure, this Retro era signet ring is crafted in Vitallium, a rare midcentury “wonder metal” better known for its use in aerospace and medical alloys. The square face features raised S and T initials against a sleek diagonal panel, framed with stepped Deco-style shoulders for a strong, architectural look. A fantastic conversation piece with history built into the metal itself. This collectable treasure is ready to wear or collect. 
 
ABOUT VITALLIUM
The "Wonder Metal" Vitallium was introduced in the 1930s as a high-performance cobalt-chromium alloy, prized for its strength, luster, and resistance to tarnish or corrosion. Though it found primary use in dentistry and aerospace, a limited number of jewelers experimented with the material in the mid-20th century, making rings like this both rare and historically intriguing. Due to its difficulty to work with, Vitallium was only used I jewelry for a short time.

An item must be 100 years old or older to be considered antique. This means many antiques may have age-related wear. We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
