Victorian Banded Agate Trinket Box

A striking antique oval trinket box, over 100 years old, set with beautifully striated black and white banded agate on both the top and bottom. Each stone has beveled edges and is securely framed in a brassy tone metal bezel with lush chevron‑patterned texturing. Inside, the box reveals an interesting transparent red enamel, giving it a bit of personality. A wonderful piece for storing tiny keepsakes or a wonderful gift for the vintage lover!

CONDITION
Nice antique condition with light age‑related wear. A small chip is present in the agate (shown in photos) but stones are secure. The interior enamel shows age but adds charm. Some patina on the metal.

The Condition Report

An item must be 100 years old or older to be considered antique. This means many antiques may have age-related wear. We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
